AWS Cloud Development

What we do

We design AWS architectures that stay affordable as they grow. Mostly serverless, mostly event-driven, always provisioned as code — and always designed around what the product actually has to do rather than a reference diagram.

Problems we solve

Typical reasons clients come to us for this work:

  • Cloud costs are rising faster than usage and nobody is sure why.
  • The architecture cannot handle expected concurrency without over-provisioning.
  • Infrastructure is configured by hand and cannot be reproduced reliably.
  • There is no safe staging environment to test against.
  • Devices, apps or partners need a scalable API that will not fall over.

Who it’s for

  • Startups needing a foundation that will not need rebuilding after traction.
  • Companies migrating from fragile or hand-built infrastructure.
  • IoT and mobile products needing a back end designed alongside the client.
  • Teams needing serverless expertise for a defined piece of work.

How we deliver

1. Understand

We start with the hard part — the constraint the project actually turns on. Latency, power budget, data volume, regulatory limits. That is what shapes the architecture.

2. Prove

Where there is genuine technical risk, we prove it early with a focused prototype rather than discovering it late in the build.

3. Build

Iterative delivery with working software you can see. Test-driven where it earns its place, continuous integration throughout.

4. Harden

Scale, failure modes and cost. We design for intermittent connections, awkward data and real concurrency rather than the happy path.

5. Support

Handover that leaves you able to run it — infrastructure as code, documentation and, where wanted, ongoing help.

Frequently asked questions

Why serverless by default?

For most of the products we build it matches the load profile and keeps cost proportional to use. It is a default, not a dogma — where sustained throughput makes provisioned infrastructure cheaper, we use it, including EC2 for relay and media servers.

Can you optimise our existing AWS setup?

Yes. That work usually starts with understanding where the cost and the latency actually are, which is often not where teams expect.

Do you use infrastructure as code?

Always. We provision with Terraform or CloudFormation so environments are reproducible and staging genuinely resembles production.

Can you design for high concurrency?

Yes. We have built event-driven architectures handling high-concurrency real-time workloads, including video signalling for thousands of simultaneous sessions.
